On Sunday, 1st February 2026, the Centre for Policy and Research on Digital Society (CPRDS), in conjunction with Ladybird Private School in Upper Chinyonga, Blantyre, successfully held an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy open session for 5 – 13 year old kids.
The session was attended by learners from various schools including Ladybird Private School, Baptist Academy, Baptist Convention, Central High School, among others. Using their smartphones and tablets, the learners delved into various use cases of AI for kids. They also delved into the limitations of AI and how to use AI responsibly.
The session was facilitated by Associate Professor Bennett Kankuzi and Mr Luke Namangale.
